Guided Horse Riding in Dublin Mountain Forest

  • Terrain: Dublin Mountains, forest, road, steep hills and winding paths

This trail ride starts at the last standing section of a 7th Century monastery. Follow winding roads, then climbing upwards to venture through the Dublin Mountains Knocknadrina Forest with breathtaking views of Dublin city and the Bay below, looking North to the Famous Hill of Tara. Maybe take a moment to take it all in at our scenic viewpoints. Enjoy a canter through winding forest paths. 

Flight of the Nuns Horse Riding Route

  • Terrain: Hills, Farm Land, Rivers, Hills
  • Rider Fitness: Moderate
  • Fast paced cross country course
  • Follow the path of Nuns fleeing a Viking Invasion!

  • Starts at the remains of a 7th Century monastery
  • Not for the feint at heart

Follow a path where the monastery's nuns fled a Viking invasion. Enjoy a short cross country briefing lesson in our arena, then learn about local history at the monastic ruins. Take on our exciting cross country course one jump at a time with a qualified Ride Leader to help. This is a fast paced and exhilarating way to spend your day. 

Stony Lane Trail Ride

  • Duration: 1.5 hours
  • Riding Level: Walk, Trot
  • Terrain: Farm Land, Road, Hills
  • Rider Fitness: Minimal
  • Fantastic scenery and viewpoints
  • 2,000 years of local Irish history
  • Starts at the remains of a 7th Century monastery 

This trail ride takes you through our country estate to a road hack on the Stoney Lane. You'll see some ancient stone walled paths, some great views over Dublin and some beautiful houses along this route.
